Having been the J33P.org sponsors for 5 years the relationship with the club remains strong and continues to grow. Highlights over the last year include the development of the Prews Hanger site and the highly successful weekend held there summer ’05, and the combined J33P and MDG tent at JeepFest ’05. Technical developments and refinements at MDG continue to progress with both Short-Arm and standard Long-Arm conversions and in particular, MDG’s custom solution to the steering problems lifted Jeeps experience, having been proven by several years of hard usage, both on and off road. Quite a few members have had some pretty awesome upgrades to their vehicles and I'm pleased to say have appreciated the Suspension/Steering "Optimization" we tend to specialize in and are renowned for. The steering solution sells itself to anyone who has a ride in one of the many modified TJs running this superior setup. As well as making your Jeep go and handle faster, MDG can also offer one of the few full rear disc brake conversions available, which does not require a separate drum for the Handbrake. For those of you suffering difficult gear engagement, after years of research and development, MDG can now offer a proven solution. We can also offer / supply a considerable part of the Hesco range of Jeep performance accessories.

Not content to rest on their laurels, MDG’s current developments continue apace. The active interaction with Rubicon Express on the Triangulated Rear Long-Arm conversion has refined this setup and is now fitted to at least 5 TJs with exceptional results off-road and a marked improvement to the onroad handling. For the power/torque hungry Jeep owners out there, our relationship with HESCO (Mopar Performance) is aiding in the optimisation of their high output engines for use in the European environment. Currently these engines are to fitted to the awesome “Project Comanche” (performance figures not yet available) and there are several other Jeeps which have been fitted with these high performance engines, so expect to see these “Jeeps on Steroids” become a regular sight at J33P events in the near future. The fitting of Dana 44 High Pinion Reverse Cut Axles to the front of TJs has recently commenced, in combination with the Warn Free Floating Axle conversion this provides the axle and differential strength to allow Jeeps running 35” plus to achieve extreme offroading without suffering broken ring and pinion gear sets or half shafts.

MDG produces some of the UK’s best and most highly modified Jeeps, with TJs now running 37” tyres, 6” lifted Long Arm Suspension with Triangulated Rear and associated other modifications. However, they remain equally focussed on providing servicing and upgrades to stock road going Jeeps and modifications from “Mild to Wild” for those who prefer to get their Jeeps down and dirty. With one of MDG’s modified Jeeps the weakest component remains sitting firmly behind the steering wheel!

Get it right First time..... There's a popular rumour, which tends to put people off modifying their Jeeps. "Lifted Jeeps are dangerous and don't handle on-road". Quite a few people don't modify their Jeeps because they are their "Daily Drivers" and consider these characteristics to be unacceptable. These rumours have been fuelled by the large number of B.O.M'S (Bolt On Merchants) who just "throw kits" on Jeeps with no knowledge or regard of the fine tuning required to optimise the performance of kit. No Kits just fit perfectly and do require Tweaking, as when you lift a Jeep, you change suspension dynamics, which we can restore and even improve upon! So if you were or still are considering a lift kit and had been put off by that rumour, then give us a call and get it right first time....
